I've legit never seen one so pristine. They're usually shredded and patched in mismatched colors because no cat you use that thing on is ever that chill about it. It's gentle, yes, but the occupants are NOT. You use the Hug Time Naughty Cat Sack on the Spicy Bois who will rip your eyeballs out if you approach them with the kevlar gloves. You don't use it as shown, with casual, unhurried dawdling and precision. You wield that sucker with unearthly speed and reckless abandon because if you're late by even one milisecond, you get to write an incident report with whichever body part isn't bleeding. You must channel the spirit of the Pelican and snorpf your prey (rage-filled feral cat) into your beak (Easy Nabber) before it realizes it can out-maneuver you.
Also, worth noting: they're not built for use on raccoons. :) :) :)
get panini pressed, idiot
#cats#i was so mad about the raccoon incident#that was our best nabber they used#and the little demon tore it apart like the mesh netting on a sack of clementines#and bent the frame so we couldn't just renet it#zero effort expended#totally irreparable#we had to pull the backup out of storage and it was GARBAGE i tell you#after that the director had to put it on the board:#nabbers for use on cats ONLY

The urge to create smth more elaborate/decorative from the original base design vs both the desire to keep it simple enough to draw repeatedly and the need to have it read clearly, all while keeping it distinct and recognizable 🙃
#aka I have a couple of ideas for comics involving canon ponies and I'm trying to nail down something a little more unique#but also recognizable to the source material; all while remaining easy to read; easy to draw; and being appealing#all for the sake of only two? three?? jokes so far LMAO#I still don't know if I can run the browser and krita at the same time without knocking out the internet lmao#idk why it does it but boy does it ever lately#it's. annoying. I want to be more productive#that and I've got a massive backlog of videos to tackle still#that are admittedly more for listening to than properly watching; and are usually perfect for smth to listen to while drawing#good news is that the most expensive the exact model of adapter I have on this computer is only around $30!#bad news is that I Do Not Have anywhere close to $30!! not to mention I'd have to pay the guy™ to install it for me#and idk what he'd ask for in the vein of a service fee... also I still want that different antenna that I can move instead of just#screwing into the back and hoping for the best; it still screws in mind you but the ports are attached to cords#that are attached to a base that holds the antennae; so that I might move it around a little#that's around $20; at least for the model I looked at. tho I'd also have to check to make sure the parts are compatible#luckily I could probably just ask the guy; and if I have enough on hand I could probably buy one from him since he sells stuff like that to#oh yeah. also on the shortlist is external storage. I need at least as much as my computer can actually hold for backup purposes: 2TB#and I want more later so that I can actually maybe have less shit on my computer and more in appropriate places lol#someday I want a newer better computer actually. tho ideally we'd have abandoned this rotted log of a house by then...#I have other plans and needs but these tags are getting too long as it is lol

hey did I ever post the best business card I’ve ever been given by a customer?
a woman wanted me to let her know if I had a particular item in storage, and she went to get a card out of her purse and went ‘oh no. I’m out of my work cards, I’m so sorry about this’ and handed me this:
apparently her husband made them for her as a joke but then she just had like 300 of them so they’re her backups when she runs out of her real business cards.

Understanding Data Encryption and Classification for Effective Data Rights Management
Introduction:
Nowadays, data security has become a top priority. As the data is generated and shared more exponentially, the safeguarding of sensitive information has become more challenging while being crucial. Data encryption and classification are the two major aspects of data rights, and they play a leading part in protecting information from involuntary or Best geofence storage service and in compliance with privacy laws.
What is Data Encryption?
Data encryption is like putting your information in a safe, but it is a digital safe. This process entails encoding the plain text into an illegible text referred to as ciphertext with a specific algorithm and key. This procedure makes sure that even if somebody who's not authorized is granted access to the data, they will still not be able to decrypt it without the corresponding decryption key.
Imagine that you want to send a secret message to your friend. Instead of writing the message clearly, you mix it up using some secret code that only you and your friend know. Without the key, any interposition would only yield nonsensical letters.
What is Data Classification?
Data classification is grouping the data according to its level of sensitivity and significance. It also allows organizations to categorize their data holdings and decide which data needs to be protected at what level. Classification is usually done by tagging data with a label that identifies its security requirements or handling process.
Data classification is like putting your stuff into different boxes. All your important documents might go into a folder, another for pictures and one for miscellaneous notes. Every folder is labelled to indicate what paperwork is inside of it and how you should handle it.
Effective Data Rights Management
Encrypting and classifying data are crucial in the context of the formulation of advice on the management of data rights with the objective of attaining maximum data protection and regulatory compliance. Here's how they work together, Here's how they work together:
Data Identification:
This high classification facilitates to define the sensitive data that needs to be encrypted conveniently. By splitting the data into groups according to the application of encryption technologies, information systems can address the shortage of encryption means and distribute the resources in a reasonable way.
Access Control:
Encryption is a safeguard against unpermitted access, and people with classification rights choose who to give access to encoded information. The access controls can build on data classification labels so that only the laid-out clearance users, possessing the proper clearance can unscramble the cipher and access sensitive information.
Conclusion:
The use of data encryption and classification forms part of comprehensive data rights management plans. Encryption works to make Best Database Backup Services only accessible to authorized people. While at the same time, sensitivity labels can be used to classify easy-to-reach data from data that requires more protection. Organizations can provide an appropriate environment for data if they combine these approaches. They can take care of risks, protect confidential information, and be consistent with data privacy regulations.

5 Easy Ways To Improve Salesforce Data Backup Recovery Strategy
In today's data-driven world, businesses rely heavily on Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems like Salesforce to manage their customer information, track sales, and drive growth. However, even the most robust platforms are not immune to data loss or system failures. That's why having a solid Salesforce data backup and recovery strategy is crucial for ensuring business continuity. In this blog post, we'll explore five easy ways to enhance your Salesforce data backup and recovery strategy.
Regularly Scheduled Backups:
The foundation of any effective data recovery strategy is regular data backups. Salesforce provides a built-in data export tool that allows you to export data in a structured format, such as CSV or Excel. Set up a routine schedule for these exports to ensure that your data is backed up consistently. Depending on your organization's needs, you may choose to perform daily, weekly, or monthly backups.
Automate Your Backups:
Manually exporting data can be time-consuming and prone to errors. To streamline the process, consider automating your Salesforce data backups using third-party backup solutions. These tools can schedule and execute backups automatically, ensuring that your data is consistently and reliably backed up without manual intervention.
Store Backups Securely:
Backing up your Salesforce data is only half the battle. Equally important is where you store those backups. Utilize secure and redundant storage solutions, such as cloud storage platforms like Amazon S3 or Google Cloud Storage. Implement encryption and access controls to safeguard your backups from unauthorized access.
Test Your Recovery Process:
Having backups is essential, but they're only as good as your ability to recover data from them. Regularly test your data recovery process to ensure that it works as expected. Document the steps, and make sure that your team is familiar with the recovery procedures. Conducting mock recovery drills can help identify and address any potential issues before they become critical.
Monitor and Alerting:
Proactive monitoring is key to identifying data backup and recovery issues early. Implement monitoring and alerting systems that notify you of any backup failures or anomalies. This way, you can take immediate action to rectify issues and minimize data loss in case of a failure.
Consider Salesforce Data Archiving:
As your Salesforce database grows, it can become challenging to manage large volumes of data efficiently. Salesforce offers data archiving solutions that allow you to move older or less frequently accessed data to a separate storage location. This can help reduce storage costs and improve system performance, making your data recovery strategy more manageable.
In conclusion, enhancing your Salesforce data backup and recovery strategy doesn't have to be complicated. By implementing these five easy steps, you can significantly improve your organization's ability to recover critical data in the event of data loss or system failures. Remember that data is the lifeblood of your business, and a robust backup and recovery strategy is your insurance policy against unforeseen disasters.

I just found some pictures I thought I lost (hard drive failure mid 2021). So god damn happy now 😄
While i'm on the subject / for those who need to hear this rn:
Make backups. Yes, especially you.
Even a year and a half later, i want to time travel back and hit myself in the face for being such an idiot and procrastinating
#it's probably best to spread your chances and have at least two backups#like one with a cloud service and a second physical copy like an external harddisk#cloud services by themselves can't be trusted because you might violate a term without knowing it and they will literally#throw all your memories in the trash and often you can't even appeal#for local backup 'cobian reflector' on windows is a great choice#it lets you run automated backups and has very flexible and solid options#I opted for a network storage drive and a redundancy raid configuration after these shenanigans#you never think it's gonna happen to you#and especially not to that one drive that has everything#but then it does and ;adslkfjasladkj#lost like 6 years of my life in pictures theres maybe a percent left of what was there#personal#txt

Tattoo Artist Simon "Ghost" Riley x Female Reader
Chapter Specific Warnings (per the warnings MDNI): canon-typical violence, flashback, blood and injury, swearing
Word Count: 3.2k
A/N: Part Twenty-Two of Ink & Needle
Simon relives the past. Evie goes to Simon for help. Price and 141 come for another visit.
Chapter Twenty-One // Chapter Twenty-Three
ao3 // taglist // main masterlist // ink & needle masterlist
It’s raining.
Simon can hear it pattering against the steel roof. He stands on the edge of a fracted concrete slab, staring down into darkness. Even the rain collects here, falling from the opening in the roof several stories up.
This is the only light Simon has. The rest of the building is utterly dark.
Walsh is here. Somewhere. Slinking through the inky blackness like a tentacled beast awaiting its next meal.
The fucker is cornered, and he knows it. Walsh blew the goddamn fuse box, shoving the abandoned construction site into complete darkness. It’s not ideal—but Simon has worked in far harsher conditions.
Simon had the advantage—the element of surprise. He seized it, only for Walsh to run when one of his conspirators shot off at Simon suddenly and without warning. The bullet only grazed Simon’s upper arm. Nothing more.
They’re all dead now.
All but Walsh.
Simon made sure of it. He did it slowly, using the shadows to his advantage, becoming a violent mist that struck with sharpened blade. Those men are just puddles of blood and vacant eyes.
Twirling his knife end-over-end, Simon considers his next move. Walsh’s only escape is on foot, and even in that the man is fucked. Simon managed to nick the back of Walsh’s leg just before he disappeared. Best case scenario, Simon struck a tendon. Unlikely—but Walsh isn’t going to make it far on foot, not with this rain and an injured leg.
Simon’s cold gaze surveys the building around him.
It’s just one of many properties Walsh owns, but knowing which was always the hard part. The man hides behind fake companies and even faker names. Connecting them back to him took the most effort. This place is just storage—a building to conceal what you don’t want found.
“Where are you?” murmurs Simon, cleaning the blood off his blade against his pant leg.
Walsh is unpredictable when he’s cornered. The man turns into a wild animal. All raised fur and sharpened teeth. This is the Walsh that’s dangerous. The one that will do anything to escape.
Stepping away from the edge, Simon submerges himself into the shadows. He backtracks, stepping over bodies along the way, boots silent as he walks. The rain picks up as Simon enters a partially completed stairwell. There are walls and stairs, but no roof or railings.
He is unprotected from the rain, and the water soaks into his clothes, the fabric sticking to his skin. Most of his body is unprotected, but this isn’t an infiltration, and backup is far away. The opportunity appeared suddenly, and Simon seized it with both hands, ready to choke. Simon made himself a false friend to Walsh, and that is the only reason Simon is this close to victory.
Three years.
Three fucking years since Simon started tracking this fucker.
Three years of endless searching. Endless infiltrations. Endless missions. Simon got close. Moved in. And now he’s fucking here, ready to finish the job.
And he will.
He fucking will.
Simon exits the stairwell and returns to the slim light trailing in from the hole in the roof. There’s a sharp illumination, a flash of white, followed by the cracking boom of thunder. The metal around him lights up, soaking up and reflecting the lightning.
Simon inhales, the scent of rain seeping through the soaked balaclava.
He glances upward, and squints just as another flash of lightning illuminates the space.
Above him—four levels up—is a shadow of a man.
Simon doesn’t wait for the next bolt of lightning. He turns back into the stairwell, taking the steps two at a time. His heart pounds in his chest—adrenaline spiking. Blood rushes through his limbs, muscles tense and poised for action.
The next flash of lightning comes, but—no. Not white. Not bright.
This is hot. This is heat.
This is flame.
The building shakes and Simon slips, sliding down the stairs, eventually landing on his knee as a resounding boom vibrates his bones.
“Fuck!” cries Simon as his knee strikes concrete. It’s a sharp crack that shoots up his leg and goes right to his head.
Rolling to the side, Simon presses himself against the wall, protecting his head as everything shudders around him. The rattling tapers out—and the moment Simon’s teeth aren’t rattling around in his head—he pushes to an upright position.
The first step is agony. He can hardly bend his fucking knee.
Hissing sharply with every step, Simon continues to climb, emerging onto the fourth level as a rising wave of nausea hits him.
The wispy tendrils of smoke come first before the heat. Simon cautiously walks forward, circumventing a slab of slanted concrete.
Behind it is fire. There is so much of it. Climbing the walls, complete undampened by the rain.
What the fuck did Walsh set off?
Simon’s intelligence said that this place might be storing chemicals, not weapons. But it didn’t say what kinds of chemicals.
A nearby beam falls from its mooring and crashes to the floor. Simon takes a step back, and then the world is tipping. Spinning.
Simon didn’t hear him. Didn’t see Walsh coming.
There are strong arms around him, shoving him down.
Simon’s training clicks into place, and he surrenders to the push, falling into it. When Simon’s back hits the ground, he rolls with the momentum, shoving Walsh off of him. Walsh tumbles away, rolling through a small patch of fire, before skidding to a stop on his side.
Simon pushes up to standing just as Walsh regains his footing. His black hair is a soaked mess, lips a snarl. Simon always thought that Walsh looked like a crow. All sharpness and talon.
“You fucking betrayed me,” screams Walsh, spittle flying from his lips.
He takes a step, staggering slightly. The sleeve of Walsh’s jacket smokes. In his right fist is a crowbar.
“Always planned on it,” replies Simon coldly.
The crowbar gently swings with Walsh’s swaying form. He hefts the metal up, pointing the bent end at Simon. “I’m gonna kill you. Take your eyes. Feed them to my fucking dogs.”
Simon says nothing. He remains still, knife clutched in his fist. It’s the only true protection he has.
“And then I’m going to kill every person you love,” continues Walsh, eyes widening slightly as he talks. “Everyone you’ve ever cared about.” Walsh lowers the crowbar. “Even the dead ones.” He laughs, the sound manic and high. “What’s a bit of graverobbing, yeah?” Walsh grins. “You can add it to the fucking list of grievances.”
“You’re not walking out of here alive,” says Simon, keeping his tone calm.
Price and the rest of the team are on their way with additional forces. Simon can kill the man, but it’ll be much easier once everyone else arrives. He just needs to play this right, to keep Walsh occupied for a bit or until the wanker tires himself out.
Either way, Walsh is a dead man.
Walsh shakes his head. “That’s where you’re wrong, mate.” He starts walking forward, the crowbar swinging. Walsh twists his wrist and the metal bar comes upward for him to grasp it like a bat. “I always fucking win.”
Simon steps to the side as Walsh brings the bar down. The man grunts. Staggers. Turns back in Simon’s direction.
Pushing the advantage, Simon shoves the knife forward with a quick slashing gesture. Walsh dodges, the metal of the blade harshly sliding against the crowbar. Sparks fly as the two metals meet.
Walsh swings again. Simon grabs the crowbar just above Walsh’s hands, holding it at bay.
“Fuck you!” screams Walsh, kicking out.
He connects with Simon’s injured knee. Simon staggers. His hand slips a bit on the crowbar.
“Fucking bastard,” spits Walsh, kicking out again, striking Simon in the chest.
Simon’s hold on the crowbar remains but he goes down, the two men stumbling to the concrete floor.
They are a tangle of limbs. Walsh gnashes his teeth, chomping at Simon as if to tear away flesh. Simon’s elbow connects with Walsh’s jaw. The man’s head snaps back and Simon slices the knife through the air.
The blade tears up Walsh’s neck, drawing blood. It isn’t much. Not nearly enough.
Walsh pushes off Simon, clutching his throat as he takes up the crowbar and swings again.
This time, the bent end connects, digging into Simon’s leg. Screaming, Simon lunges for it, intending to rip it out of his leg.
“No you fucking don’t,” snarls Walsh, yanking on the crowbar.
Simon scream again. Muscle and tendon are tearing. Nerves severing as Walsh drags Simon’s by his leg across the floor.
“I’m not done with you,” growls Walsh, yanking again.
Simon growls and lunges forward, grabbing onto the crowbar. The two men fight for dominance and control.
Walsh lashes out with his fist. Simon jerks to the side, and then thrusts his head forward, cracking his forehead against Walsh’s nose.
Blood bursts across Walsh’s face. The man stumbles back, falling on his ass.
With a guttural cry, Simon changes his angle on the crowbar, tugging it free. A black pool begins to form beneath Simon’s leg.
Groaning, Simon turns onto his side, pushes up to sitting with both hands. Grabbing his knife, Simon staggers to his feet just as Walsh steadies himself.
Simon charges, knocking into Walsh, blade pointed forward.
The knife goes in clean. Perfectly slips between ribs, missing bone, and meeting tender flesh.
Walsh screams, and then laughs—fucking laughs. The sound is choked. Garbled. But it’s not just Walsh who screams. They’re both screaming, staring into each other’s eyes as all that pent up rage and anger emerges like a storm.
A knee shoves into Simon’s stomach, and then the two men are up again. Simon’s knife is still lodged in Walsh’s chest.
The rest is all fists. Blurry. Bloody.
At some point Simon’s back and arms burn, the clothes singed and partially melted. He’s not sure when it happens. Everything is growing fuzzy, and his leg doesn’t want to move. It drags behind Simon with every swing of his fist.
Walsh’s hands slide around Simon’s throat. Using his weight, Simon drives forward, moving like a rugby player, pushing Walsh closer and closer to the edge.
Walsh’s mouth is moving, but there are no words.
It’s a buzzing. Like an alarm.
Like—
Simon’s eyes snap open. He’s greeted by the ceiling. The burns beneath the tattoos are warm as if the dream renewed the long-forgotten pain.
And that buzzing.
“Fucking hell,” groans Simon, sitting up, and grabbing his phone off the bedside table.
Bravo whines and places his head on Simon’s leg, his large dark eyes tinged with worry.
Simon opens up the doorbell app on his phone, checking to see who is out on the street wanting entrance. He checks the time and balks.
“Shit,” mutters Simon, swinging his legs out of bed. Bravo grumbles his annoyance but doesn’t move from his spot.
The quality isn’t great but there’s a woman standing outside. All he can see is a coat and her figure. He can’t tell if it’s you, but it might be.
Simon hits the button that unlocks the downstairs door and shuts off his phone. Standing, his bad knee stretches, resisting movement. He stretches a bit, and then heads for the front door.
Someone is banging on it before Simon even makes it across the living room.
He unlocks the deadbolts, and swings the door wide, expecting that it might be you and you’ve simply lost your key.
But it’s not you. It’s—
“Evie?” breathes Simon, his sudden excitement dimming to an extinguished flame.
She is rain-soaked. Trembling. Her brown eyes are large and round. Simon tastes fear and desperation in the air.
Something is wrong.
“I’m sorry,” she says quickly. “I know it’s late. But I have no one else to turn to. The police aren’t doing anything and I—”
“Come inside,” says Simon, softly, taking a step back.
Evie swallows hard, her hands clasped in front of her chest as she takes a hesitant step into Simon’s flat. He shuts the door behind her, locking the deadbolts.
“Sit here,” he instructs, gesturing toward the kitchen table. “I’ll make tea.”
“Simon,” she starts.
“Tea first, and then we’ll talk.”
Evie only nods, removing her coat to hang on the back of the chair. Simon fills the electric kettle and turns it on. Striding into the living room, he snags a blanket off the couch, and offers it to Evie.
“Thank you,” she murmurs, unfolding it slowly to drape over her shoulders.
Simon returns to the kitchen, preparing what he can for the tea. This concerns you. He knows it deep in his bones. But as much as Simon wants answers—craves them like a cigarette after sex—he needs to be fucking calm about this. He needs to be the clear-headed one.
When the kettle goes off, Simon makes each of them tea, spooning the perfect amount of milk and sugar into both. Simon sets a mug down in front of Evie and then decides to settle in the seat across from her.
“What happened?” he asks.
Evie’s mouth opens. Closes. She bites her lips and stares down into her cup.
“Start wherever you need,” says Simon. “Take your time.”
Time is never on anyone’s side. He is fully aware that time is your greatest friend and enemy. Even a few seconds are crucial.
Evie takes a deep, shuddering breath. “She should have been home yesterday. It’s not like her to not call if she’s running late.” She pauses, taking a moment to drink some tea. “I called. Texted. Nothing. Would go out to the house but I have Lillian to think of.”
“What time was she supposed to be home?”
“Around dinner,” answers Evie after a few seconds. “Still no word. No phone calls. No texts.” Evie sighs. “I went to the police station this morning but they shrugged it off. Said it’s too soon to file a missing person’s report.”
“Have you tried contacting anyone else?” asks Simon. His grip on his cup is the only thing grounding him right now.
Evie nods. “I contacted the estate agent. She said she’s go out there and check.” Tears begin to form in the corners of Evie’s eyes. “Haven’t heard anything. When I call her it goes straight to voicemail.”
Evie glances up from staring into her mug. “I’m worried. That’s why I came.”
“You did the right thing,” replies Simon. “I’ll go check.”
Her sigh of relief is palpable, as if the burden of it is a physical thing. “Thank you, Simon. I—”
“Finish your tea,” interrupts Simon. “I need to make a few calls.”
Glass crunches under Simon’s boots. Some of it shines in the morning light. Other pieces shine red.
The patio door is completely shattered, the glass strewn over the living room and lawn. In the middle of the floor is a deep pool of dark red liquid. And in that pool are two bodies.
Neither of them is you—thank fuck, but it’s hardly reassuring.
You are not here. You are—wherever you are.
Simon stares down at the two dead women. There’s a hammer near the blonde, the bludgeoning end covered in brain matter and gore. This is the estate agent and her assistant. They came to check after all at Evie’s request.
And they walked right into their deaths.
“Fucking hell,” mutters Captain Price, bending at the knees, observing the two lifeless women.
Kyle and Johnny are near the kitchen. Gaz is slowly shuffling through the paperwork on the kitchen counter while Johnny slowly walks the entryway with a torch. Simon doesn’t think they’ll find anything important.
This doesn’t have to do with Evie at all. Or Archie.
Not at the moment anyway.
This is about Simon. This is about Walsh.
It is about revenge, and the spirit of the chase in pursuit of that excellent vengeance.
Simon walks the perimeter of the dark pool, coming to a stop next to Price. He crosses his arms over his chest, gaze downward.
“Good thing you called us,” says Price, voice gruff. He comes to a standing position, a frown on his face. He turns to Gaz and Johnny. “Found anything?”
“Nope,” comes Soap’s response as he shines his torch up and down the staircase.
Gaz shrugs. “Not sure,” he replies. “This is mostly paperwork about selling the house. Don’t think Walsh is after that.”
“He’s not after the house,” growls Simon.
Price glances at him. “Simon.”
He’s trying to remind Simon to be calm—to chill the fuck out. But Simon is anything but calm. He’s fucking fuming.
“Walsh is after me,” says Simon, gaze locking with Price’s.
“Then why didn’t he come after you?” counters Price, shrugging. “You’re a civilian now. Why not surprise you in your home?”
Simon snorts but it’s not with amusement. “Think Walsh wants to make this quick?” He gestures toward the dead women.
Price doesn’t even glance at them. “These two were in the way. Likely surprised them.”
“Sure,” agrees Simon. “But he wants to hurt me first. To cause pain before he strikes.”
“We’ll find her,” sighs Price. “Maybe she escaped?”
“She would have turned up somewhere. Made contact with someone.” Simon shakes his head. “Walsh has her.”
“We don’t know that, Simon.”
Simon is ready to snap a reply, to show some teeth. This is about him, but it’s also about you. Walsh can have anything, but he can’t have you. You are the only thing Simon has ever truly wanted. The only person he’s craved to the point of obsession.
Life does not seem complete without you.
Letting you go is not an option.
“Captain!” calls Johnny.
Simon and Price snap to attention, their bodies shifting in Soap’s direction. There are solid footsteps, and then Johnny appears around the corner, coming to a stop next to Kyle. He clicks off the torch and places it on the kitchen counter. In his other hand is a large stack of mail. He gently sets the mail down, and spreads them out, making sure each envelope is on full display.
Simon takes a step forward. He’s not sure why he’s moving. Something is telling him to, wrapping around him like a string, and tugging.
Johnny lifts an envelope and holds it up. Frowning, he turns it around. “It’s addressed to Simon.”
He closes the distance in seconds, snatching the letter out of Johnny’s hand. It’s simple parchment. Slightly faded and weather-worn. There is no postage. No address. Just Simon’s full name.
“Simon,” says Price, almost cautiously, as if he doesn’t want Simon to open it.
He ignores Price, tearing it open.
There is a single piece of paper inside. It’s thin—nearly translucent. With slightly shaking fingers, Simon withdraws it from the envelope.
Come and find her. – KW.

Private Dances [2]
Club!Blue Jones X F!Reader • Rating: 18+ pals Masterlist• ao3• want to be tagged? • ko-fi • request info • series masterlist •
A/N: A massive thank you to the amazing @midgardian-witch for being the best and proofreading this nonsense and another huge thank you to the wonderful @lonelyisamyw-0love for tipping my ko-fi, this series is especially for them💚
Warnings: overuse of italics, sub!Blue, choking, biting, hand job, there's some power dynamics in here because reader is a dancer (but like Blue is getting his ass handed to him), swearing, Blue crying, p in v sex (Blue fucks another dancer at the beginning), please let me know if I've missed a warning.
There are 5 main ‘stars’ in the club: Peach, Trixie, Songbird, Sweetie Pie, and Crystal. Crystal is usually the favourite but is currently in Blue’s bad books for reasons unknown to the reader. Reader is a backup dancer.
Word Count: 2679
Rouged Lips in the Gaslight
Trixie was bent over the arm of the velvet sofa in Blue’s office, sharing its colour with the name of its owner.
He hadn’t even bothered to fully undress himself or her. Just hiking up her short skirt (the same one she had been wearing for her routine half an hour ago) and pushing her underwear to the side while he unzipped his fly.
She felt good, she always did. Warm, tight, and the sounds she was making alone, enough to make a porn star blush, should have been doing it for Blue.
But they weren’t. And it was the fucking seventh time in barely two days.
Every time he tried to get off it just didn’t work. He’d tried all the classics, combinations of his personal favourites, different dancers, different positions, different times of day, anything he could think of.
He got hard, sure. Hell, that was the problem to begin with, he was horny. Fucking desperate to come. It just never happened.
“Blue, fuck, please!” Trixie’s moans increased, getting louder as she neared her high.
He picked up his pace, thrusting harder, tightening his grip on her hips and slamming her back to meet his; trying to satisfy that itch that just would not be scratched.
He snarled, closed his eyes, and - you with one hand on his throat and the other wrapped around his dick squeezing as you bit his lip until it bled. His blood on your mouth as you kissed him possessively, laying claim to him as he came; ruining him for anyone else.
Trixie screams as she comes, snapping Blue annoyingly back to reality.
It feels good, the way her cunt squeezes and flutters. Usually, that would be more than enough to bring him to his peak, to make him pump her pretty pussy full of him. He just can’t get there.
He sighs in frustration, sweat on his forehead as he pulls out and quickly stuffs his painfully hard cock back into his trousers.
Trixie breathes hard, a little dazed and shaky as she stands. There’s a little frown of confusion on her face, any hope that she hadn’t noticed Blue’s lack of orgasm quickly dissolving.
He doesn’t know why it bothers him so much. But it does.
“Get the fuck out.”
His voice is hard and cold and Trixie doesn’t need to be told twice.
He sits on his desk when the door closes and runs his hands over his face. This was getting fucking ridiculous. He was Blue fucking Jones for god’s sake. He couldn’t let anyone, especially you, one of his dancers, his property, do this to him.
He breathed out roughly and stood again, his mind made up. It was just a little blip, nothing more than that. He just needed to show you who was boss, bend you over and fuck you until you begged him to stop. That would fix all of this.
.
You sigh loudly as you finally find the correct gloves. They’re a deep scarlet, the only remaining matching pair that goes with the outfits of the seven other backup dancers. When Gorski told you they were in the tiny storage closet on the upper levels you had to bite your tongue to stop the groan that had threatened to escape.
The storage closet was a mess to put it politely, random junk just dumped in there when there was nowhere else to put it. It was only because Blue had wanted Song Bird to have eight backup dancers for the routine, when for the past three weeks it had been seven.
The gloves are a little battered, but nothing that would be noticeable to the patrons of the club, not when you were up on the stage anyway.
You catch your reflection in the full length mirror that is jammed a little haphazardly in the corner. For a second the gloves in your hand look like blood.
You put away the things you pulled out as best you can, not such an easy task in the mayhem mess, and turn to the door.
Your hand barely grazes the cool metal of the handle before it’s wrenched out of your grasp as it’s flung open.
Panic grips your heart and you visibly jump back just about managing to keep the little yelp of surprise that wants to escape quiet.
And when your eyes land on the figure in the doorway, you’re more than glad you did.
Blue glares at you, his eyes dark and shining in the dim light. He has a small, tight smile on his face. One of those practised expressions he wears at the club when he’s charming customers.
He closes the door behind him, not taking his eyes off you and stalks forward, expecting you to back away.
You hold your ground, annoyance fizzling in your blood at the gall he has to try to intimidate you and for a second you forget yourself. “What the hell are you doing here?”
He pauses mid-step, blinking before he tries to pull that mask of superiority back on. “That’s not a very nice way to greet me now, is it?” He spits.
“What are you doing here?” You repeat, your tone firm and fierce, unimpressed by how he bristles and tries to square up to you.
“I own this place, and everything and one in it.” He leans close, his hot breath hitting your face. “I can go wherever I like.”
You hold his gaze for one long moment before you swallow and step ceremoniously to the side, planning to walk past him.
Blue matches your step, blocking your path. “What are you doing in here?”
You hold up the gloves. “For Song Bird’s routine.”
He stares at your hands for a moment, picturing you in the backup dancers' outfits. His throat bobs as he swallows before he grits his jaw. He had to focus. Had to get you out of his system.
“What do you want, Blue?” Your voice is firm and sure, covering up the spike of uncertainty that has settled in your chest.
He pauses, finally glancing up from the gloves to your face. Though now that he is looking directly at you it feels worse, blistering to be under the intensity of his gaze. He licks his lips. “You.”
You stay quiet.
“Just you.” He repeats, taking a step forward and placing a hand firmly on your shoulder. He pushes you back into the row of hanging clothing forcefully and leans close as the gloves slip from your hand. “You know, I thought you were just a scared little Bunny I could have some fun with, but you’re not.” He growls.
You swallow, fear swimming in your stomach, mixing with a dizzying haze of emotion.
“You’re… dangerous. A Lion in rabbit’s clothing.” He mutters, tracing his fingers lightly along your jawline.
Instinctively you smack his hand away.
He grins at your gall. “You know… I’ve hurt people a lot more important than you for less.” He whispers.
“Then why don’t you?”
Blue pauses, his expression frozen on his face like a tableau, a tiny spark of uncertainty flickers into life behind his eyes. “I don’t… want to right now.”
“Liar.”
He scowls. “Listen-”
“No, you listen.” You grab a hold of him, placing your hand firmly over his mouth and pinching his cheeks.
His eyes widen, darken as arousal burns along his veins.
You have no idea what’s gotten into you, why you’re doing this again. He could kill you on a whim, a snap of his fingers and a flick of his head would be all it took for his goons to empty their clips into your chest.
Still, it seems like you’re in too deep now to change directions.
You push him back a little, giving yourself some breathing space. “You don’t want to hurt me because you want me to hurt you.”
He swallows, his throat bobbing. His hands still at his sides, making no effort to even wriggle out of your hold.
You lean a little closer, echoing his teasing tone from before. “You like it.”
There is the tiniest hitch of his breath and it’s all the reassurance you need.
When he doesn’t respond quickly enough for your liking you squeeze a little tighter, feeling the imprint of his molars through his cheeks as you nod his head up and down.
“There we go, did no one teach you it was rude not to answer a question?” You loosen your hold on him, revelling in the red impressions left on his skin. It shouldn’t thrill you, shouldn’t excite you.
You trail your fingers along his jaw, running your thumb over his plump bottom lip and he shudders, closing his eyes for a second as he fights the urge to grab your arm and pull you closer.
Instead he darts out his tongue, swiping it lightly over the tip of your thumb and groaning.
“Did I say you could do that?”
The snarl in your voice makes his eyes snap open, makes him open his mouth for a frantic apology.
The second his lips part you push your thumb inside, pressing down on his warm tongue to silence him.
He startles, eyes going wide for a second as he grabs hold of your wrist instinctively. But the second his mind catches up with your actions he doesn’t pull back, only presses closer.
He groans around your thumb, running his tongue along the length as he pushes his body flush against yours, grinding his aching cock against your leg.
He’s so hard, throbbing as he rubs against you. A small whimper echos from his throat.
You bite your lip, a wave of arousal washing over you at the sight. “You’re so pathetic, you know that?”
He moans louder, frantically nodding his head as he thrusts his hips, sucking on your thumb for all he was worth. He squeezes your wrist, wrapping his other arm around you to hold you in place.
You pull your thumb from his mouth suddenly, smearing his salvia on his chin and grabbing hold of his throat as you push him back away from you.
Blue whines, his forehead pinched in distress and hips bucking aimlessly, trying to seek out that delicious friction again.
“Can’t keep your hands to yourself, can you?” You growl, loosening his tie and roughly pulling it free as you undo the top three of his shirt buttons. “Fucking pitiful.”
“S-sorry.” He mumbles, biting his lip as he gazes at you.
You smack his cheek lightly and he groans, the sensation striking down to his cock like lightning. He’s dazed for a second as you manhandle him, too wrapped up in the feel of your fingers digging into his skin to even have one coherent thought.
You twist his tie around his wrists, binding them harshly before you gather the last of the material and wrap it around your right palm.
He gasps as you step behind him, your chest pressed against his back, and grab hold of his neck, pulling his wrists up in the process. The material digs in, makes his skin sing and fingers throb. It’s like he’s died and gone to heaven.
Blue bites his lip again, trying to keep some of the obscene sounds to a minimum. He feels dizzy, lightheaded as you squeeze his neck and use your free hand to slide down his chest to his trousers.
The amount of times he’d tied up others, whipped and beaten until they’d crying and begging and pleading. It had felt so good, so right. But this… god it was nothing compared to this.
You sink your teeth into the side of his neck and he keens, his back bending. He gasps, shivers and tries to breathe deeply through the wonderful pain, but your grip on his neck tightens, pulls him back further under your control. And he nearly comes on the spot.
You bite harder. Niping and sucking at his skin, only soothing with your tongue for the briefest moment.
He squirms under your hold, pressing up against your mouth and whimpering nonsense.
He cries out when you unbuckle his belt, unbutton his trousers and unzip his fly. His heart thuds under your hand as you let his trousers fall to the floor and push his boxers down his thighs.
“Please, oh god,” he whines when you squeeze especially hard on his neck and then gasps when you wrap your hand around his leaking cock. “Lion,” he stretches the word, rolls it around in his mouth desperately as you jerk your hand, your pace hard and brutal. He follows with his hips as much as you let him, tightening around his neck and pulling him back against you if he moves too much.
“Lion, please!” He sobs.
You break your mouth away from his bruised skin to hiss in his ear. “Look at yourself, look at how pathetic you are.” You tug his neck, forcing him to look at himself in the floor-length mirror. He lets out a sob as his own reflection stares back. How flushed his skin is, how desperate his eyes look. The way he barely struggles. How hard he is, leaking and throbbing under your hand.
“Lion,” tears build at the corner of his eyes, “please.”
“You’re wretched, despicable, barely worth the energy it takes me to make you come.” You sneer.
And Blue screams.
The knot in his stomach twists, liquid fire running along his spine as your words push him violently over the edge. He comes hard, spurting all over the floor. The force of it even hitting the edge of the mirror as he jerks and bucks and cries under your hold.
For a moment it’s like he’s floating, light and far away from himself. Warm and safe under your touch.
You loosen your grip around him instantly, worried for a second that he’s passed out and then silently hating yourself for enjoying that idea so much.
He stumbles a little without your firm hold, but you guide him back to sit on the edge of a large box.
He breathes deeply, spaced out as you slowly unwrap his tie from around his hands. His wrists are red, fingers off colour. He shivers slightly, his trousers still around his ankles. You pause, questioning if you’d be able to get him standing to do them back up without Blue falling over.
Instead you turn to pull out a long, fluffy coat that had been used in a dance months ago to drape around him.
He softly grabs your forearm as you turn, the touch a stark difference from earlier.
“Please,” he looked up at you, his eyes hard and voice weak. “Don’t go.”
The silence seems to hang for a long second.
You swallow and take the coat off the hanger before wrapping him up. You squeeze his hand and move closer to him, intending to just stay a moment, but he grabs hold of your arms, pulls you closer still and buries his face into your stomach.
He stays still for a moment, his fists tight as he hangs onto your shirt.
You don’t know what to do, your hands hover in mid-air and… then his shoulders start to shake as he cries.
“Hey, hey,” you lightly touch his head, running your hand through his short hair. “Hey,” you soothe and he looks up at you weakly.
“I’m sorry,” he mumbles between sobs.
“Hey, it’s okay,” you squat down to his level and stroke his cheeks. There’s a whirlwind of emotions fighting in your chest.
He shakes his head. “Did I… Did I make you angry?”
“No, no.”
“Did I disappoint you?” His voice breaks at the last word, fresh tears streaming over his skin.
You lean forward, kissing his lips gently, then his cheeks.
He swallows, hiccuping from the sobs he’s trying to fight back. He kisses you back softly, reverently, his hands warm and gentle on your arms and back as he holds you close.
What the fuck had you got yourself into?

Hello, could you create a headcanon for ROTTMNT about what it would be like to date Leo, Raph, Mikey, and Donnie (separately) and what the pros and cons of a relationship with them would be?
Headcanon: GN!Reader dating the Rise!Turtles (Separate) (Requested prompt with established relationship)
A/N: This was really fun to work on and ended up surprising myself with how this turned out!!!
Donnie
Pros:
Since you take the time to listen to whatever he says, he'll do the same for you.
Even before you started dating him, he took some notes on what you liked and disliked. (He used to have a tablet for that said purpose but eventually, retooled as a backup photo album storage between the two of you)
- I personally think he's not one for the usual icebreaker conversations with stuff like "how's your day and etc"
So most conversations start with some tangent on his mind or about your favorite things then eventually discussing daily stuff that happened within the day.
Even though he struggles trying to cheer people up, but he's not gonna ignore your well-being when you happened to have a bad day.
- Like he makes sure you had something to eat or drink. And if talking about the problem makes it worse, already noted and tries to pull you towards light stress free activities. (Letting you borrow one of his headphones to listen to your music, sort and try out a box of fidget toys, or setting up a small space in the lair as the designated chill zone)
While there might be some technical mishaps, he always has good intentions trying to fix your phone or other electronic devices you have trouble with.
Cons:
Imo I feel like during the first few weeks in the relationship, he'll be awkward towards pda. (don't constantly pester him about it)
- He'll eventually come to it maybe near the end of the first month of dating. (With his personal quota of handholding and hugs that last a few seconds)
Until realizing your needs are just as important to maintain that special relationship.
- However, If some creep doesn't get the message you're already taken, its one of the rare times he'll force himself into initiating pda for your own safety.
Easily gets jealous and refuses to admit it with some snarky remark.
When he refuses to take breaks, you probably have to step in so he doesn't accidentally hurt himself or gets sick.
- When you do so, it often ends with him passing out on you.
(And tiny bit of scolding from his brothers [namely Raph and Dr Delicate Touch] after Donnie recovered from overworking himself on a large scale project)
Can be very passive aggressive and it could lead to some unpleasant arguments towards something very trivial.
- He's definitely the most stubborn out of his brothers and probably won't hear you out until your feelings get hurt.
It might take him a few days to think up of a proper apology. And during those days, he slowly regrets yelling at you along with letting his anger get the best of him.
Leo
Pros:
He won't admit it but, your level of honesty around him really puts him at ease whenever he's lost in thought about something.
- The leader can name a least few things about his brothers' special talents but during a few nights where he can't sleep, because of a nightmare from a past enemy. (either Shredder or the Krang)
He didn't have the energy for one of his usual portals but, really wanted give you a hug for saying such kind words through a phone call.
He'll instantly back off if he accidentally made a joke that offended you.
- The last thing he wants is to upset you. So he really tries working some type of compromise between the two of you, so it doesn't happen again.
He has a strong memory sometimes, like remembering the little details. It will usually happen when you least expect it.
- Casually bringing up a past event from one of the photos saved on your phone. Often being one of the early hang out sessions, before you started dating him. He'll lightly tease you about it but, mostly grateful that you took a chance to build up that relationship with him.
If you happened to have a case of bad luck, he's very determined to end that streak's rein of terror by his own hands.
- And if you can't visit the lair, he'll let you borrow his lucky rock as a good luck charm.
Cons:
He still has a bit of that competitive energy in him and can be a sore loser when he doesn't win.
- It could take him a while to realize that the playful showboating upseted you and to why you're refusing to give him any attention.
This also adds on to that he's not the best at genuine apologies.
- Like the first sorry has no feeling to it until the guilt weighes down on him.
I don't think he could last a few days with you giving him the cold shoulder + silent treatment (Imo, he has the type of desperate embarrassment that would be hard to watch)
Sometimes his "surprise planning" ends up in a panic since he waits until the last minute to get you something.
- Given how some of his strategies usually works towards his advantage. (Often not telling the others about it and another similar manner along those lines)
His ego can 100% break the relationship.
- Like there's only certain amount of patience you can handle with his nonsense and his brothers will absolutely not stand for that kind of behavior. The moment he realizes he was in the wrong, he scrambles trying to avoid a potential break up.
Raph
Pros:
Almost has the same level of patience as Mikey's. (Also a result of being the oldest brother and dealing with some of Splinter's shenanigans)
Will often ask if you need help with the heavy lifting. (Even towards small stuff like when you can't reach for something on the top shelf. He will immediately grab said item for you.)
Gives the best teddy bear hugs
- Not too tight or too close to his spiky scales. Just right enough where it can easily put you at ease, stopping any stressful thought plaguing your mind.
Can easily motivate you into short exercise routines.
- It doesn't even have to be the daily recommended 30 minutes. Often being close to under 5 minutes is still worth it.
When both of you were done following that one morning aerobics exercise from animal crossing, his brothers immediately teased him about it. But he doesn't care, he was just happy you got to stay up for a little bit before lazily resting your head near his plastron.
Cons:
While the big guy means well, he can be a bit overbearing.
- Especially if you got a small injury, after a brief night patrol fight from an unexpecting bad guy attack.
He will absolutely be a mother hen if you end up getting sick. Drops whatever he was doing and rushes over to make sure you're okay. Which often results in him getting sick after you fully recovered because he forgot to bring the protective gear for his own safety.
(This is a personal headcanon of mine) but he's definitely close to a morning kind of guy. Light stretches to start the day before he eats breakfast.
- So if you have a similar night owl schedule like Donnie or Leo, he won't say much but, he will judge you for it unless its related to some medical reasons.
If you decide on borrowing clothes from him, a lot of the shirts he has, will have a few holes because of his spiky shell. So pack some extra clothes (like a spare tank top or something similar) if you're not into the torn up clothing look.
You're bound to see Savage Raph at least a few times.
- Please approach with caution and take Leo's advice seriously. However, still be gentle around Raph and comfort him by the time he returns back to his usual self.
Mikey:
Pros:
The fact he knows how to cook is already best boyfriend material.
- He can probably cook up your favorite food if you ask for it.
Another plus is proper communication skills.
- Dr Feelings will always be there to help and will accommodate what's best suited to your needs.
Can be your personal cheerleader when you happened to be stuck at starting something.
- After all, he is the best hype man for a reason. But, can easily tone down the energy if you start to feel overwhelmed.
There will always be a lot of creative thought in whatever gift he makes for you.
- Very heartfelt and he will be a blushing mess if you ended up displaying it in a place where he can see it. (either in your room or a place in your house where there's a lot of care in preserving it)
Cons:
Imo I feel like the Dr Delicate Touch persona leans towards some of that passive aggressive energy.
- Namely the anger tone, (which might have some influence from a certain purple turtle) so Mikey still needs to be careful about that.
It won't happen all the time but, if you forgot to eat breakfast. (or any of the other important 3 meals of the day)
- Mikey will pester you into eating some food he made. He usually does this to Donnie and the box shell turtle won't budge until you finish the meal. Or at least half of it, so it can be saved for later as leftovers.
The sad puppy eyes trick is present in all the turtles but, Mikey's more dangerous since he's a master at it. So try your best not to give in to the temptation. (If you can help it)
He's the second turtle to make a beeline into danger. (and him being commited to be the bait as a distraction [like dressing up in a hippo costume with a cologne that attracts said animal or the time he wore a cucumber suit to tease Repo Mantis' mutant pet cat for one of Donnie's vlogs])
- Be prepared to patch him up as result of his rowdy energy.

More Quartet Night CDs for the TABOO NIGHT XXXX movie have been announced!
Starting on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, solo CDs, duet CDs, and medley CDs of the four members will be released every other week for three consecutive months! You can find the list of CDs, songs, and all details at the website here!
They release in standard order, Reiji through Camus. Then the duet CD with a Reiji and Ranmaru duet, and Ai and Camus duet. Just like SAMURAIZM and UUUU, there is a special edition for each pair but the tracks are the same. The final CD is new medley songs. This contains 1 more Quartet Night song, and then 1 more song per boy with the other 3 as backup vocal/chorus.
All of the solo CDs come with 1 drama track, and the duet and medley CDs have multiple drama tracks.
Ordering each CD through Animate JP or Broccoli before January 26th will get you a special clear card for that CD. Ordering all 6 CDs through Animate JP or Broccoli will get you special bonuses. Animate has an autograph board and 7 CD storage box (you only have to order 1 version of the duet CD, but it will fit both if you get both). And Broccoli will have a drama CD. And then there's lottery prizes from the Animate CDs. This is all very similar to how it was with the QN Solo Best CDs.
All of these CDs should release as usual on US iTunes as well. The only exception will be the previously announced Quartet Night TABOO NIGHT XXXX CD which will likely be streaming only on Spotify and YouTube Music.
